Do I need any sailing experience?

Zero. Our beginner courses start from absolute scratch. Most of our students have never set foot on a sailboat before Day 1.

How long does it take to learn?

You'll be confidently helming the boat by Day 3. By Day 7 you sit your ASA assessments: ASA 101 and 102 on weeks from 2027, or ASA 101 and 103 on 2026 weeks.

What if I get seasick?

Our sailing grounds are chosen for calm, protected waters. Motion sickness is rare, but we recommend taking Dramamine the first day as a precaution.

What certifications will I earn?

ASA 101 (Basic Keelboat Sailing) and ASA 102 (Keelboat Sailing 2) on weeks from 2027, or ASA 101 and ASA 103 (Basic Coastal Cruising) on 2026 weeks. They are recognised worldwide. The next step, ASA 104 on our Intermediate week, is the one charter companies look for.
