Private sailing instruction in St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. Steady trade winds, national parks, and world-class beaches.

The US Virgin Islands — St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix — offer steady trade winds (10–20 knots), sheltered sounds, and short passages ideal for learning. Over 60% of St. John is national park; Magens Bay, Christmas Cove, and Trunk Bay are among the Caribbean's best. We offer private sailing courses here so you can earn ASA certifications while exploring the USVI. For fixed-date group courses we recommend our Saint Martin programme (St. Barts on most weeks) or the British Virgin Islands.

A week in the USVI might include Christmas Cove for snorkelling, Magens Bay or Lindquist Beach, St. John’s Waterlemon Cay and Ram Head Trail, and Caneel Bay. Temperatures average 75–88°F; the dry season (December–April) is prime for sailing.
Private instruction lets us tailor the week to your goals — whether that’s first-time certification or building toward bareboat level.

The USVI combines the ease of U.S. travel with classic Caribbean sailing: steady trades, crystal waters, and diverse marine life including sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish.
St. Thomas is the hub with marinas and provisioning; St. John offers pristine park and quiet anchorages. First-time charterers and experienced sailors alike find the USVI forgiving and rewarding.
We offer private courses here; for scheduled group weeks our Saint Martin (St. Barts) or BVI programme is the perfect alternative.
