Day 1 – Saturday 9.30AM

Arrive at Sail Newport, at Ford Adams Drive, Newport, to meet your fellow students and instructor.  Once you have settled in your instructor will conduct a safety briefing and take you through the course plan, then head to the boat.  Shortly afterwards you will be on your way! Today will be familiarisation, running through the boat and once this is done, heading out for a sail. We will be learning the fast way to do the most important sailing knots, understand raising and lowering of sails, all to some great music and good vibes on board. The evening will be spent back in Newport, dining out then sleeping aboard the boat.

Day 2

Wake up to the smell of coffee, then experience the unique Sailing Virgins morning routine consisting of Wim Hof breathing, meditation and a 7-minute workout. Today our destination is Block Island, so we will prepare a passage plan, then get the boat ready for the journey. Underway we will go through tacking, jibing, navigating and finally piloting the boat into the inlet at Block Island. We head out for dinner at Block Island and sleep aboard the boat.

Day 3

On the final day we smash out our morning routine, then prepare to sail back to Newport, RI. We arrive in for a late lunch, then undertake written exams in the afternoon. The course finishes by 4pm on the third day. You will receive a debrief and be anointed an ex-Virgin! Ex-Virgins receive great benefits such as discounts on Sailing Virgins courses worldwide and gear.
